“Our recent Team Building workshop which was facilitated by Cristando House, Inc. certainly exceeded our expectations. All who attended came away with a renewed sense of purpose, a commitment to excellence and a shared vision of our future. The depth of experience, knowledge and insight that Ron and Joe brought to this Team Building resulted in every participant being engaged in the process and excited to contribute to the group discussions and exercises. The result is an action plan that undoubtedly will take this department from good to great.”

Joseph Cristando serves as the president of Cristando House, Inc. Since joining the firm in 2003, his duties have included management, supervisory and leadership development, facilitation of team building and strategic planning interventions, executive search, training design and delivery and the completion of management/organizational reviews. While the majority of his clients have been municipal police departments, sheriff’s departments, university police departments and district attorney’s offices in California and Nevada, he has also provided consulting, training and facilitation services to a variety of other local government departments, nonprofit organizations and associations. In addition to the delivery of client services, he is also responsible for the management and marketing of the firm. During his first five years at the firm, much of Joseph’s time was spent identifying emerging best practices in law enforcement management and integrating these findings into the training and consulting the firm does through California and Nevada POST. This original research has led to substantial organizational change and improvement in dozens of municipal police departments. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as the marketing director and production manager for Arc Fresno where he was responsible for a multi-million dollar budget, 10 supervisors and a workforce of over 100 disabled adults. He also worked for the American Red Cross where he served as a liaison between that organization and police and fire personnel during disasters. Previously, Joseph worked for the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s office where he was instrumental in the development of a comprehensive training program for gang experts. He also served as a special assistant to a Councilmember in the City of Fresno and as assistant campaign director for a mayoral campaign in a large California city. He earned an executive certificate in business management from Pepperdine University and completed his BA degree in Organizational Communication from California State University, Fresno. Joseph also volunteers as a pro bono consultant with the Taproot Foundation in San Francisco and has completed several competitive and collaborative analysis and strategic planning preparation projects with local and national nonprofit organizations. He and his family reside in San Francisco, CA
